Plumstead Tennis Club
Plumstead Tennis Club is a community run tennis club. It is situated in the heart of Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs, on Victoria Road in Plumstead. The club has six courts. It’s a great place to play the game in a relaxed environment, whatever your level.
Two of the six hard courts are floodlit to allow for evening play. There are changing rooms and also a large hall (available for hire) which doubles up as a great venue for parties or celebrations. Ample parking is available.
Membership
The club offers very affordable membership packages, with standard adult fees currently R1575 per year, juniors R500 per year and seniors R800 per year. Discounts on these prices are available for families, so you don’t need to break the bank to enjoy regular games of tennis.
The club participates in a tennis league, for more experienced players or those looking to hone their skills to a competitive level.

Visitors
Plumstead Tennis Club welcomes visitors who would like to try out tennis before committing to a membership. Visitors rates apply, with a lower fee if you are playing with a member.
Visitors can access the club from Wednesday to Friday from 3pm to 6.30pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm.
Tennis Coaching
The I Am Tennis academy is based at Plumstead Tennis Club. Run by Rikki Lee Solomon, tennis lessons are available for players of all levels. There is a particular focus on coaching for children and beginner or intermediate level adults. Tennis camps for children are held during school holidays.
Benefits of Tennis
Playing regular tennis has a huge number of benefits. It improves your general health and fitness, whilst also testing your reaction times and tactical thinking abilities.
Tennis is also a very sociable game, that can be played from the very young to those in their senior years.
